SUSTAINABILITY
London Bees Lavender

There is nothing we love more than the sound of bees buzzing happily through our lavender plants. They love the scent of the lavender flowers, almost as much as we do. Our urban lavender bushes attract bees which then go on to pollinate other flowers, helping to boost the biodiversity in our area as well as making it look and smell lovely.

As well as supporting our local bees, we're keen to keep our negative environmental impact to a minimum. We keep our carbon emissions low by using bikes to transport our stock to our market stall and powering our home, where we make our products, with renewable energy (a small wind farm in Scotland to be precise).

We hate waste and, where possible, we use re-usable packaging. For instance our candles come in beautiful tins and glasses which, once the candle has burned down, can be used again and again. Our soaps are wrapped in recycled paper, and our lotion bottles are recyclable.

Our candles are vegan and none of our products are tested on animals. But we know there is more to do to, and as we grow, we'd like to work with our suppliers to help them to reduce their environmental impacts.

As well as being as environmentally friendly as possible, as a family business, we want to be a force for good in our local Camberwell community. We love meeting people at the farmers market and in our local shops and are always on the look-out for opportunities to get people involved in the business.
